It is a simple Client record system using tk/tcl as the front end (PQTCL). I have now run into a problem when accessing a database. Using monitor I get 2 possible errors. 1. Read all the records (retrieve (CLASS.all) \g but will not return to the Prompt after printing all records 2. After printing all the records it prints WARN:Apr 12 15:31:32:cannot open segment 1 of relation pg_time The process does not die either. Doing a ps shows /usr/local/postgres-4.2/bin/./postgres -p -Q -o /dev/null -P4 Stone still there. In the data directory I have a huge pg_log and large pg_time. -rw------- 1 postgres cdb 134234112 Apr 12 15:31 pg_log -rw------- 1 postgres cdb 4595712 Apr 12 13:03 pg_time Any ideas on how to fix this. I have reinstalled from a backup but it eventually causes the same problem after adding a few records. -- Daryl Sayers Ph: (02) 417 3788 Stone Group Asia Pacific Fax: (02) 417 3741 Unit 20, 380 Eastern Valley Way Email: daryl@stone.oz.au Roseville, 2069 NSW Australia WWW: http://sydney.DIALix.com/~stone ============================================================================== To add/remove yourself to/from the POSTGRES mailing list: send mail with the subject line ADD or DEL to "postgres-request@postgres.Berkeley.EDU".
