Hi Folks,
I'm trying to get the backend program working with GSQL. At the moment I
have GSQL working fine and I all also have a database program called
Mini SQL (Minerva Network Management Environment. Copyright (c) 1993-1995 Davi
d J.
Hughes). However, I don't think it is possible to hook up these two
particular programs together.
I'm only starting this project and doing a little experimenting. I
've heard that Postgres might be a good choice of database for these
purposes.
My questions are:
1. Is it possible to use Postgres with GSQL?
2. Has anyone out there ever done it?
3. What's the story with a backend program for Postgres?
4. If this is not possible, is there a Shareware database program
which communicates via SQL that will work with GSQL?
BTW, my httpd server is running on an AIX Unix system where the
database will also reside.
If you point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.
I hope I havn't taken up too much of your time.
Thanks in advance
Philip
