This is a preliminary release of POSTGRES version 4 release 2.  All
of the random installation problems (and one known bug) from the alpha 
release *should* be ironed out.

alpha-beta.diff.tar.Z contains complete copies of the files that 
changed between the time the alpha was cut and now.  I think.  I
can't really tell because I'm not positive what time Marc cut the 
alpha tar file.  On the other hand, I believe that if I have erred
I have erred on the conservative side.

My various attempts to use makepatch failed due to bugs in makepatch 
(not handling deleted directories) and megabytes of bogus diffs due 
to RCS headers.  Forget it.  This is easier.
