Postgres95 is an enhancement of the POSTGRES database management system, a next-generation object-relational DBMS research prototype. While Postgres95 retains the powerful data model and rich data types of POSTGRES, it replaces PostQuel with an extended subset of the intergalactic dataspeak, SQL. It is free and the complete source is available.
Postgres95 is originally brought to you by Andrew Yu and Jolly Chen, former graduate students in Computer Science at the University of California at Berkeley. Marc Fournier has picked up the torch and organized it into a community project.
