Subject: failed to "select pg_class" on postgres95

Please forgive me if this is wrong place.(Is there any postgres95
specific mail address?)

I have installed postgres95 beta 0.02 on Sun Sparc running Sun OS
4.1.3. When I isssued a query "select * from pg_class" from monitor
command, it failed with a message:

	Error: Cannot Allocate space

I ran the monitor with trace command again, and found that it tried to
allocate huge amount of memory:

write (1, "Query sent to backend is "select".., 51) = Query sent to backend is "select * from pg_class;"
51
write (4, "Qselect * from pg_class;\0", 25) = 25
read (5, "Pblank\0T\21\0relname\0\23\0\0\0\20\0relowner".., 4096) = 270
read (5, "".., 4096) = 2992
brk (0x1cfc8) = 0
brk (0x1dfc8) = 0
brk (0x1efc8) = 0
read (5, "".., 4096) = 1104
read (5, "\0r\5\0\0\0n\5\0\0\0004\21\0\0\0magnetic disk\23\0\0".., 4096) = 2589
brk (0x1ffc8) = 0
brk (0x20fc8) = 0
brk (0x54515fc8) = -1 ENOMEM (Not enough memory)
     ~~~~~~~~~~
write (2, "Error: Cannot Allocate space.\n", 30) = Error: Cannot Allocate space.
30
I also tried pgtclsh, which only dumped core. Note that almost same
query "retrieve (pg_class.all)" on postgres 4.2 runs fine. Any idea?
