i tried building postgres using gcc 2.6.0 on solaris 2.3.  while
it does indeed have frank delahoyde's one-line modification in it, 
it seems to have other problems that were not present in 2.5.8.  
you may well have other uses for it, but as yet 2.6.? is not useful 
for building postgres.

(the first few days of any new gcc release always seem to be full 
of fun, adventure and excitement..)
