oooooo.  i wish you hadn't forwarded just this one little bit of my
message to the mailing list.  i mean, you left out the part where i 
was trying to be helpful and left in the part that sounds like a 
flame.. :-)

there are also perfectly valid performance problems.  but i was 
actually was curious how fast a commercial system would do the 
query.  (specifics, not generalities.)
