Subject: some trouble with postgres

I have just started experimenting with POSTGRES, and am having trouble
with a few features:  writing, loading, and implementing POSTQUEL functions,
rules, and C functions.  I've been trying to follow the POSTGRES reference
manual and the POSTGRES tutorial for syntax.

Any help, advice, or examples you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
