Subject: hanging createdb

I installed Postgres on my machine (Sparcstation 1+, SunOs 4.1.1)
initdb sucessfully, but when I run createdb dbname, it hangs.

I have send in mail about this before -- is there some bug I'm
not aware of?  What's the work-around?
